The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship is a single elimination tournament held each spring featuring college basketball teams in the United States. Colloquially known as March Madness or the Big Dance (as opposed to the now smaller and less prestigious NIT), the tournament takes place over 3 weeks at sites across the United States, and the national semifinals (the Final Four) have become one of the nation's most prominent sporting events.
The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is held every year in March and early April. In a 19 day span the tournament covers 13 cities and concludes in San Antonio, TX with the Final Four to determine the 2008 NCAA College Basketball Champion. View the schedule below for dates.
